Watching the show
July 8, 2008Across the street, the man in the rasta hat slams a hand—then the back of the same hand—against the green street sign pole. He is close enough to the bus stop to be waiting, but shifts his body in ways that make it clear he’s going to be there awhile.
He shouts into windows of passing cars while tapping a complex rhythm against his hip. From what I can tell, I am the only one paying him mind.
People watching is so fun. Today I saw a pickup truck with a recliner in the back. A child was sitting in the recliner.
Mistress of the Post, it’s always interesting — that’s for sure!
